10 min. mile today!

I managed a 10 minute mile today. I have been running a new route (3.1 miles) that includs a huge hill both up and down. I didn’t take that route tonight as I just literally ran a movie back to the store. I managed a 10 min. mile today though, woo hoo!! Now if I could just figure out why my hips are still killing me…. I picked up some inserts for my shoes yesterday before I ran hoping that would help. It didn’t. :( I made a chiropracter appt. for today hoping that that will help. We shall see!

Need to get back into it…

I have been gone since Thursday and didn’t get any running in at all those days. I did get up and run this morning but eased my way back into it. I ran/walked 2.1 miles. I walked for the first 10 min. of it. Ran 5 min. walked 5 min and ran the rest. My running pace has picked up but I need to be able to run for a much longer period of time. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and be jogging at least 3-4 times per week. You would think that I would be losing a lot more weight than I am….it is really frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas on how to kick start that?

Well, this morning I warmed up and ran and cooled down in only a half hour but I did manage a 12 minute mile this morning!!! YAY!! That is an improvement for me…by 4 min. My hips are pretty sore…any suggestions on what to do for that? I tried to stretch out pretty well.
